We will meet at the Environmental Education Center - Alviso: http://www.fws.gov/uploadedFiles/AlvisoTrail_2013.pdf We will learn about birds, migration, flyways, food chains, human impact, and the importance of wetlands. Then take a walk and use our binoculars to spot birds in the wild. Scouts will have the opportunity to complete a Webelos Badge Requirement, an Elective, or an Adventure Requirement PLUS have fun hiking with the Pack. From Interstate 880 or Highway 101, exit on Highway 237 toward Alviso. Turn north on Zanker Road. Continue on Zanker, which turns into Los Esteros after a road bend, to the environmental education center entrance (a sharp right turn at Grand Boulevard), approximately 2.1 miles from Highway 237. |
